Rōmaji = Roman letters

One of my great influences that reflected on my work has been the Japanese culture. One of my early transliteration into one of Sam Writing Systems was Bailenson, F., Japanese Haiku. 220 Examples of 17 – Syllable Poems. (In English). The transliteration writing system was in different format than the one presented here. Why the differences, because the voice and the holistic idea of Japanesness feel a need be expressed in a different writing system to Roman letters.
